I’m Tia. Let me tell you a little about myself! I love to write long, thoughtful blog posts, and yet find it extraordinarily difficult to write simple things like taglines, and text on pages called “About Me.”
I belong to my wonderful husband, who is also my very best friend, and with whom I love to share smoothies, discussions, and Jane Austen. We have four perfectly delightful children: two boys and two girls, half of them blue-eyed and half brown. I enjoy home schooling our brood, writing, journaling, washing dishes with the kiddos, reading, singing, and talking for way too long about subjects I have become passionate about.
I am a second generation home educator, having been home schooled myself Kindergarten through 12th grade, and am a graduate of George Wythe University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Statesmanship. I am constantly seeking to add more to this excellent foundation of education I have received, and also believe that I am in the meantime putting my learning to its best possible use here in my home.
I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am passionate about the gospel, home and family, lifelong personal education, and a variety of secondary subjects that branch out from there.
